• This has been happening to me also, crashing when trying to save usually in the Sims day time. Today I seemed to have limited the game's death by using a mod that stops. townies being generated. It has to be something to do with them, once I deleted the unplayed game created ones from the lot management bit I found that the game saved without crashing. Worth a go, maybe you might get lucky
